Financial Reporting valuations are undertaken for a variety of organisations including both listed and non listed entities. In undertaking valuations for Financial Reporting purposes it is important to comply with the required basis of value, which is Fair Value, being measured in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards Board Standard AASB 13 (Fair Value Measurement).
‘Fair Value’ is defined as:
“The price that would be received to sell an asset or paid to transfer a liability in an orderly transaction between market participants at the measurement date.”
Further to our assessment of Fair Value, where there are companies with multiple stakeholders, our directors and senior valuers are often engaged on a board level to provide advice and guidance regarding the company’s property holdings, strategic planning and general consultancy.
