Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Bertacco Property Valuations Pty Ltd (ABN 21 544 124 024) handles personal information collected through this website, bmfvaluers.com.au. It covers the website only. Files for valuation work are handled under the terms of each engagement and are encrypted and held in Australia.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email, phone number and organisation, who will rely on the valuation, the property address and status, the valuation purpose, any dates you give, and your message.
When you visit the site, our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) processes your IP address and basic browser details to check that the enquiry form is being used by a person. Like most websites, our hosting and network providers also record visitors' IP addresses in their request logs. We don't use cookies, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
The site saves one setting in your browser: whether you've closed the capital gains tax notice. Map links open Google Maps only when you click them.
How we use it
We use your enquiry to respond to you and to prepare a fee proposal. If you go on to instruct us, your enquiry becomes part of that engagement and is handled under its terms.
We don't sell your information, add you to a mailing list, or use it for marketing.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is emailed to our office and is seen by our staff. We use these service providers, who may use the information only to provide their services to us:
- Render, which hosts the website and processes the enquiry form in Singapore;
- Cloudflare, which provides our domain name service and the form's spam protection;
- Resend, which delivers the enquiry email to our office and stores its data in the United States.
This means your information may be processed or stored outside Australia, in Singapore and the United States.
We disclose information to others only if the law requires or permits it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't proceed for up to 24 months, then delete them. Our hosting provider keeps request logs, including IP addresses, for 14 days.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information you sent us, or make a complaint, by contacting us using the details below. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We publish any changes to this policy on this page.
